October Frequency

The Band formed in the winter of 2004. Pounding out a

sound that seemed to flow in the current vein but saluting

the past as well. That October they went to Pigpen Studios

in Athens Ga. to record their 1st project. A five track E.P.

(self titled), featuring the 1st version of "Acrophobia". It

was there the band met owner/producer Daniel Collins

who liked what he heard and agreed to help open doors

in various clubs around Athens. Along the years the band

would keep a close and Professional friendship with

Mr. Collins, trusting only his work when it came time to go

into the studio. Only 400 copies of the E.P. were made but

helped build a solid fan base for the group.



Two years later in October of 2006, they went back in to

record their 1st full length project, later this collection of

songs would be titled "DRIVE", featuring many singles

such as "1919", "Drive", "Aftermath", a new version of

"Acrophobia" and "Crime and Punishment" , a song

based on the book by Dostoevsky. This time around more

doors opened and many indie radio stations caught interest,

as well as internet Radio.



In 2007 of October the band went back in with 10 new songs.

A more confident and Mature attitude was captured in the mixes

of their 3rd project, "A Southern Ghost Story". Sine then their fan

base has grown, it seems that they have developed a sound that

is middle of the road, attracting anyone from southern rockers

to straight up metal heads. Even tho many changes and obstacles

have been faced, they have managed to carry on keeping friends

and family close at heart. October Frequency is an honest hard

working band that captures the dark anguish and in your face

attitude of Rock music.

Hailing from Habersham County, Georgia (USA),

the band October Frequency turned heads in the

Malice Studio the first time it was played within.

and played it did at window rattling levels!! "This guy

sounds like a young Ozzy!" Rev Malice screamed out

as he cranked their music. Rev was referring to October's

lead vocalist, Richie. "The whole damned band is

phenomenal!" Rev continued. After airing their music on Show 3 (Anguish), Rev took some time to listen to more and ended

up buying the band's T-shirt and an October Frequency

and that was the one! Fuck asking them for a promo,

I'm all about buying the album. That's next on my list!"
