Occision

Established in 1991, Occision is Arizona's longest running death/grind band. Throughout its existence, the band has recorded several demos, an EP, a split album, and two full length albums (Creative Butchery 1994, Killing is Instinct, the Pleasure Lies in Murder 2004), as well as performing many live shows along side some of the great metal bands in the genre. In 2010, after performing as a three piece for several years, the band reunited with former vocalist Richard Medina (Fall of Empyrean) and began performing shows again, as well as starting work on material for a brand new album.
In 2012, the band was signed by Russian label Anopsys/Inherited Suffering Records to release their brand new album "Defying Temporal Limits of Existence". In April 2012, the band entered Arcane Digital Recording (Exhumed, Misery Index, Phobia) to begin the recording process. The recording will be engineered, mixed, and mastered by owner Ryan Butler (Landmine Marathon) and will be released in the summer of 2012. The release will be followed by many shows and festivals.
The band is more active than ever and will continue recording albums and playing shows at a more consistent pace. Thank you to all the fans who have supported the band throughout the years, and to all of the new fans, welcome!
