New Slang is a composite of personages:
EARL GREY aka MATT DEMON. Formerly known to the world as the GBZ, EARL GREY "slides in so graceful that everyone at the banquet goes AWOL".
BLACK FOREST GOTH aka INTUITIVE HYPA. Sometime producer/sometime MC, HYPA believes we can reach the Rhythm Nation within our lifetime.
GALLANT SANTILOPE. Santilope is alternately hot as molten magma and cool as the Arctic sea, and his rhymes flow accordingly.
PROFESSOR MIDNIGHT. Mysterioso incarnate. Though he will not let the audience see his face, Professor Midnight will let them hear his rowdy rhymes.
SEAN JIMMINY. Inscrutable, uncompromising, packer of many thoughts into a finite space. Jimminy delivers his metered speeches blisteringly.
SUNINLA. Lock up your dictionaries and thesauri. This Olympian emcee invokes some serious linguistic business.
BEATMASTER BIG GAME UP. The legendary producer, and creative force behind many New Slang tracks, including the Hamiltonian underground hit 'Bourgeois Party'.
SOLID DJ OAK. Table spinner extraordinaire, a honed craftsman, and certified official New Slang DJ.
But New Slang is greater than the sum of its parts. When the group assembles to record an album, the resulting organized chaos--the methodically refined madness--is explosive and omnidirectional. Along with Lee Reed, PJVM, Miramichi, Pubs Panseno, Laserbot, Hachey, RollIlland, King Dutch Motese, DJ LP, Lady Squire, The D'Urbervilles and other shady associates, New Slang continues to pursue its great compulsion: to rewire pop music from the ground up.
