While engineering at Strictly Hip Hop, Novel was impacted by the various genres of hip-hop he was exposed to on the show. Immediately, he acquired a Korg Triton and within weeks began producing music of his own. Throughout the months, Novel meticulously worked on perfecting his skill and craft, while honing in on his own signature style and sound.Although Novel’s eclectic sound scapes earn themselves high notoriety, it’s his enterprising and visual artistic abilities in addition that makes this versatile beat smith impressive. Along with being President and CEO of Blue Flame Recordings, in 2005 Novel created his production company “By_Myslf Productions” and his Graphic Design firm "Mixed Media, Inc."Novel is currently overseeing and executive producing up and coming R&B sensation, Johnel.
