Located in Brampton, Ontario NOTLAM PRODUCTIONS is dedicated to helping artists establish themselves in Canada by providing production, recording, engineering and mastering of their audio, as well as professional advice in areas needed. Notlam Productions recording studio has produced everything from rough-cut demos to "radio ready" production from folk music to hip hop. This facility for creativity is also committed to raising the Canadian Radio-Television Telecommunications Commission (C.R.T.C.) levels in this industry for Canada.
NOTLAM PRODUCTIONS provides a roomy comfortable space for your musical creation. The facility has a bright acoustic tone, creating a signature ambiance for guitars and other acoustic instruments. It is my duty to make sure that aspiring and professional artists feel at home in the studio from the get go. Our recording booth is a large well acoustically treated room that includes a monitor which allows the recording artist to record themselves if preferred. For recording vocals we have a high end tube microphone, the Rode K2.
By maintaining a vast library of beats NOTLAM PRODUCTIONS is a desired producer for artists. Our producers/engineers work with the latest equipment and are highly trained. The business operates out of a residence and has a committed section for the facility. Future expansion plans for the company are, to have 1 or 2 more facilities. NOTLAM PRODUCTIONS has individuals in various departments with past experience in computer data base programming, musical technology which includes: music theory and operations of hardware. A graphics department has recently been implemented to provide a wider range of services. Any uncertainties associated with any of the departments are dealt with by individuals that have superior experience in our customer service.
NOTLAM PRODUCTIONS has been registered since October 30th, 2002. The company enjoys relationships with several different radio stations such 88.1fm, 105.5fm, 89.5fm, 93.5fm etc. and is still expanding. Being registrated with performing rights societies such as SOCAN have allowed NOTLAM PRODUCTIONS to collect royalties from shows performed and songs continually played on the radio.
The Hip Hop culture has grown a lot in Canada over the last ten years, so much that listeners are artists themselves. My goal is to retain a reasonable percentage of talent in Canada. Canadian radio stations are eager to have new Canadian material to play because Commercial Radio stations must ensure that 35 percent of music played between 6am and 6pm, Monday to Friday must be Canadian; as regulated by the C.R.T.C.
