North of Shorty is a unique fusion of Rock, Ska, Punk and Reggae. Influenced by NoFX, Green Day, Sublime and Bob Marley, the four-piece band from Saskatoon, SK. features the blazing lead guitar and unique vocal style of front man John Dickinson; Mark Klopoushak brings baltic influenced violin ('Broken Ashtray') and melodic trumpet lines to the group ('Girl of My Dreams', 'Nothing Worth Fighting For'); Josh Langford (Bass) and Paul Pizurny (Drums) provide the one-of-a-kind rhythm section that holds the group together. The result? A sound reminicent of Sublime and Bedouin Soundclash but with the punk influences of NoFX and Green Day. Complete with an energetic and entertaining live show, North of Shorty specializes in a unique brand of Ska infused Punk Rock you don't want to miss!
