Noravenu (pr: "nor-AV-en-oo") was a progressive alt. rock band from the San Francisco Bay Area, whose active tenure spanned from 2006-2009.
They garnered most of their fans through their energetic live performances in intimate venues and college festivals alike, as well as a rapidly growing online following.
Their self-titled EP, released in 2007, was recorded at The Panda Studios in Oakland, CA, and produced by Sam Pura and Jon Webber. It is still available for purchase via Interpunk.com, at http://interpunk.com/item.cfm?Item=67939
Noravenu was in preliminary talks with Victory Records while writing their full-length album when the band dismantled in 2009.
After the split, several members pursued other musical projects:
Lead singer/songwriter, Jon Webber, began his solo career in Central California before moving Nashville as a full-time songwriter of various genres. Besides songwriting, Webber is currently pursuing a career as alt. country artist. He is also a member of the duo JUSTICE. (jonwebbermusic.com / facebook.com/jonwebbermusic)
Guitarist, Jason Montero, enjoyed a stint with a Hawaiin indie label before pursuing his passion as an EMT. He is also a guitar instructor in the Bay Area, and still writes and performs a variety of music (myspace.com/jasonsdemopage).
Guitarist, Tyler Adams, and bassist, Adam Richardson, created the now-defunct rock group, Reasons We Sleep (myspace.com/reasonswesleepmusic). Adams then went on to form the screamo band, This Awakening (myspace.com/thisawakening).
