Born in Portland, Oregon, NonStop, a.k.a. The Hitman grew up in a world tainted with imperfections. Stricken of his innocence at an early age, he was exposed to the harsh realities of the drug world.

With an absentee father, due to touring, his mother was left to raise him. NonStop recalls how “she taught me to cook crack, bag weed and sell drugs, along with showing me how to do it all legally by working 40 hours a week and hustlin, just to take care of me and my four siblings". In his mid-teens he naturally became tempted by the false appeals of the streets. Falling into the life of gang banging and risking his life during shoot outs, fights, selling dope, and taunting the police for fun – he found himself playing in a self-destructive cycle that seemingly had no escape.

His father who was a bassist for Nu Shooz, the Grammy nominated gold selling group from the eighties had spent a lot of time away from the family to undergo his passion for music. NonStop for a very long time was ironically turned off at the thought of pursuing a career in music, not wanting to leave his family like his father had to. However, what he couldn’t have imagined then was how much music would turn out to be such a significant part of his life and the escape he was longing for.

Undeniably in his blood, the inevitable occurred and he was flirting hip hop by hanging around friends from school that had started rapping for fun. He remembers thinking “I could do much better than most of the rappers around my hood if I only tried” and eventually he did. People quickly started talking and those that hadn’t recognized him before really started to pay attention. They realized that this kid had something to say, flowed nice and the other MC’s around his block were no competition.

As his skills got better, he decided to get serious about music. Starting off, his work with producers quickly became a frustrating process as he recognized they weren’t giving him the type of beats he needed to create a killer combination of lyrics and hot music. Instead he started experimenting with his own beat making. With no equipment at first he downloaded 'fruity loops' demos, and used video games on his PlayStation to create beats. When he realized he needed to get the real stuff and unable to afford it, he tapped into his street smarts which was still strongly engrained in his mind along with his hustler mentality. It resulted in him pulling a few scams; including robbing a couple to obtain the proper equipment he needed to make good beats. Not a hundred percent dedicated, it became a balancing act between music, street life and dealing drugs, he barely managed to finally record a full album in 2004. “It was that album ,The Hustle, that helped me build a relationship with the music director for Portland’s radio station 95.5 fm out in Portland” he says. That relationship provided a launch into the club scene, there NonStop met singer song writer Hurshee. Together they collaborated on a few songs. The chemistry was good and Hurshee ended up getting him in contact with Basement Beats who managed to land him the first of what would be many major placements on Twista’s 2007 album “Adrenaline Rush”.

Coming to the realization that he had to get his life on track, NonStop decided to make the move to Atlanta to pursue music full time and perfect his craft, but most importantly to avoid being caught up in the perils of street life. In Atlanta he met up with Qwes, former Universal recording artist and co-founder of 50/50 Music Inc. Artist, and Executive for Konvict Muzik. Qwes signed him to 50/50/Konvict Muzik and the rest has been music history.

Chi-town's quick spitting rapper (Twista) returns with his anticipated album "Adrenaline Rush 2007". This album is paying an ode to his classic 1997 album "Adrenaline Rush". On this album he revisits the hot sound of the 1997 "Adrenaline Rush". The main difference in 2007, is that he contains some commercialized tracks, such as his hit "Give It Up" ft. Pharrell, & "Love Rehab" ft. R. Kelly. The album is a solid effort by Twista, and he continues to make consistent albums. Standout tracks are: "I Ain't No Nigga", "Whip Game Proper", "Seven Day Hustle", "Creep Fast", "Wrist Stay Rocky", & 'Ain't No Hoes'
