The Noise Room band was born in 2002. First line-up was formed by Palestino (guitar) Francesco (bass) and Carmine (drums).
The sound was very hard, very noise style, similar Sonic Youth and more extreme Nirvana's stuff.
About 2004 was released the first demo: “Sounds shades in a Short Scale”.
In 2005 the sonic evolution of the band determinated the join of new membres: Rudi, as guitarist, second bassist with his miracolous music toys and electronic inventions that produces magnificent sounds and Vito, at keys and theremin.
Carmine leaved the band and was replaced by Francesco.
The band acquires a strumental form very larger and wide than before,ranging through rafined melodies characterized by using unusual instruments:toy piano,toy organ,toy accordion, metallophones,theremin, analogic synths of seventies, original effects handmade for guitars,various percussions,etc.
The songs became much more longer and complex, much more structurated respect at the past, with hard parts and ferroginous crescendos but, at the same time with emotional and evocative melodies, also remainig devoted at that sperimental and strumental matrix.
At the end of 2006 was released the first recording with this new line-up: "The end of the Lord's Constellation", a four tracks EP that earn a lot of approbation and good critics.
This conduct the band to exhibit in a lot of performance in all Italy and to
receive some musical production proposal that it has always refused becouse considerated not very attractive and serious.
Noise Room keep on touring during all 2007 and until the early summer of 2008, in these months the band shares the stage with many bands and artists with international fame, for example: Ulan Bator (Iroko club Salerno 2007), Telefon Tel Aviv (Iroko 2007), Section 25 (Iroko 2006), Jennifer Gentle (World Festival Eboli 2007), Egle Sommacal (ex Massimo Volume and Ulan Bator) (Benevento 2008), For Against (Iroko 2008), Julie's Haircut and Spectrum (
ex leader of Spaceman 3, Salerno 2008) MEI Festival (Faenza 2007) and with several other artists, plus a lot of gigs as headliners or only the band.
The Noise Room band began recording a new album (a full intere album, an LP) at December of 2007 at Monochrome Studio, under supervision and sound engineering of Luigi Nobile, of Yumma Re.
The recording sessions are now terminated (in early June), they were protracted
more over a long time respect the previsions cause the band sound's was "naturally" evolved and they tried to favour these changes, without constrints, to do that, they called some musicians as guests with new instruments to enrich the sounds: banjo, accordion, trumpet, theremin, cello, double-bass, female voices, choirs, mellotron, and. Palestino begun to sing.
The album (eleven tracks) will be released in October of 2008 (We hope!!!), now the band are mixing and, after have played the new material a lot of times, now, all live activity was suspended for some mouths in order to concentrate itself on mixing and sound research for the LP.
In the next days some new songs will be uploaded still with temporary mixing.
