Robert "Bobby" Lane II was born in Lansing, MI. Being from a musical family, Bobby immediately captured the attention of many with his talented voice. His father, a well known singer across Michigan, pushed his son to take vocal, piano and drum lessons at a very young age. At age 5, Bobby won his first talent show and has been performing ever since. Developing into a talented songwriter, Bobby has crossed over from R&B into the Rap genre in recent times.
To date, Bobby, now known to the world as Nizzy, has won numerous talent shows for both singing and rapping. In 2001 he formed the group "The Goodfellas" with fellow R&B artists Harvey Lee, Rick Villa and J. Holla. The group flew out to New York where they would win the "Amateur Night at the Apollo" contest. Deals from labels including Def Jam and Jive came pouring in but due to the events that would take place on 9/11/01 the timing was not right for the group to proceed. Nizzy has been releasing new material on his independent label, Chosen 1 Entertainment ever since.
Evolving and growing musically every day, Nizzy continues to gain new fans on a consistant basis, leading him to become one of the most known and respected artists in his region. Opening for acts such as Young Buck, Ludacris and Lil Wayne further solidifies his position in the industry. Writing all of his own material, his music speaks for itself.
Nizzy plans to make an instant impact in the music industry with a fresh new style. With the industry crowded with artists reciting nursery rhymes, Nizzy brings a different style, speaking on events pertaining to his life and those around him. With good business sense to add to his list of talents, Nizzy is not only on the path to becoming the new face for Hip-Hop but is also on a path to become a corporate mogul, taking his C1 Entertainment label to new heights.
