Hi. My name is Nity Gritz, I'm also known as Topsy Kretts, Morbid Stylez, & The Gutter Rat. I know what you're thinkin 'How many Alias' does one man need?' well I find it helps to keep things creative & theres a Character for every mood, pretty much.
I've been rapping for nearly seven years now, since September 2002.
I've recorded over one hundred and fifty tracks, three albums, a mixtape & I'm currently hard at work on my 3rd album 'Lovesick' produced by Bill Breaks.
My first album: 'Kiss My Gritz LP' was fully produced by Bigg Taj, it's fifteen tracks deep & features Loki, Bigg Taj & Bluhnt.
Second Album: ‘Self Inflicted EP’ I was in a dark place when I wrote this, I was considering the very meaning of my own existence, Spent a lot of time intoxicated, a drunken mess, the cracked shell of a man, but that all changed when I started writing for ‘Self Inflicted’ it seemed to be easier to get drunk than it was to pick a pen up, although this album, in my eyes, doesn’t sum-up my best work, it took hard work and a lot of effort to write it. 8 tracks deep, all solo tracks.
third album: a collaborative effort from myself and WurrD, the 'Sinister Sinisism EP'
is 7 tracks deep, it's produced in full by Bill Breakz & Features Skribbo from The Being Crew & Bombdiss. This is music that reflects on a dark mind state & brought me out of a three months depressive slump.
The aptly named 'Unify Me! Mix tape' is 24 tracks deep & features 24 artists from the scene in Scotland: Doonhamer, Skribbo, Hawley Griffin, RST, Loki, evaDe poD, Wurrd, Spee69, BeeJay , Feez & Big Radge Andy, KD, Mog, JKC, Werd, Riddlah, Deeko Gasp, Chad The Lad, Big Div, Butterscotch, D Team, and Donnie, I appear on every track, this was my attempt to bring a sense of unity to our scene. most production comes from Bill Breaks, there are dubs & I can vouch for every artist that took part, everybody done their thing! it's definitely a great collection of tracks & I feel, personally that I've gained a lot from it, as an artist.
'Lovesick' although it’s my 3rd album, it’s my first serious attempt, this is sure to turn heads as it touches on a topic that we’re all familiar with, relationships, women, love, hate, hurt, happiness & sadness, we all feel, don’t we? ’Lovesick’ will be sixteen tracks deep, it features Hemisphere (New York), Loki, Mog, JKC, Skribbo, Hawley Griffin. produced in full by Bill Breaks, This definitely reflects on my best work yet, it's a story from track one to nine & then it all gets hectic! you'll love it. self loathing in my own skin!
Between projects, I record a lot of solo and collaborative tracks that hardly ever get used for projects, it’s just a way of keeping myself busy. I am a workaholic, if I’m not writing a new track or a verse, I’m writing short stories & reading books.
I've played gigs all over Glasgow & I've performed in Edinburgh too.
I was in Mike Skinners - 'Deluded in my mind' video which was on MTV & is in the Guiness book of records as Longest music video.
and I've had my photo taken beside Killa Kella WHAT!? Haha
