Nina was born and raised in Hälsingland, but lives now in Stockholm. She has been living /working worldwide and with her 17 years as un entertainer shes no Greenhorn in ShowbusinessHer career started out at the “Sunwing Resort Mallocra”. From there Nina continued to sing Soul, Jazz, Pop, Swedish Schlager and Metal, but finally ended up finding herself a home with Rock Music. She worked with the Swedish entertainment company “Wallmans Salonger” in Stockholm, Malmö and on tour. Occasionally she even took take stage as a comedian and as show host. Back in 2006, she was singing with the house band in front of 40.000 people, welcoming home the Swedish National Hockey Team after their victory at the Olympic Games. Nina has even worked as field artist in Liberia and Afghanistan, where she performed for the Scandinavian, German and American troops. You could say that she knows how to handle a tank 90 and won a shooting competition with Stefan Sauk! And of course, this girl knows how to ride a motorbike. This is girl who likes to step on the gas!

Throughout her career, Nina also had the honor to work with international artists such as John Lord, Glenn Hughes, Neil Murray, Phil Hilbourne and Robin Gibb. Being an artist of many talents, she has also worked with the majority of Sweden’s top artists and musicians. But her breakthrough came in fall of 2007 when she conquered the part as “Lady of the Lake” in the popular Swedish casting challenge “West End Star” on TV3, which made her the leading lady in Monty Python’s success musical “Spamalot” in London. In Spamalot Nina co-stared with Hollywood actor Alan Dale, known from TV Shows such as Lost, 24 and Ugly Betty, as well as the British TV Star Peter Davidsson and Sanjiiv Bhaskar known from Curry Curry nam nam. Nina, initially known in Sweden more as of a “Rockgirl”, enchanted London’s musical audience from the very beginning and was therefore offered to prolong her contract by the producer Eric Idle. A new “West End Star” was born!

After raving press reviews the producers confirmed that even this artist who had never previously performed on a musical stage possesses the talent and determination to deliver on the highest level.

Some press releases after the debut in London in February of 2008: "A new star is born", "Brilliant première", "Nina Soderquist sparkled, quick-witted and brilliant and sang if she had never done anything else before than played in musicals", "Charming and self-assured"

"A swedish musical star was born yesterday in London: Nina Söderquist"

Meatloaf and Phil Collins are just a few of the superstars who have watched her perform on stage and have congratulated her on her outstanding performance.

The part as “Lady of the Lake” has been the biggest and most long lasting role for a Swedish artist at London’s West End. Her achievements put her into the same league with other successful Swedish artist who previously performed in London, such as Tommy Körberg, Petra Nielsen, Niklas Andersson, Peter Jöback och Gunilla Backman.

Up until January 2009, Nina made her 350 stage appearances in front of a sold out theater.

In 2008 Hollywood offered Nina a leading role in the movie production of the musical “NINE”. Unfortunately, in the final phase of pre-production Popstar Fergie snatched the part.

Nina has appeared on TV shows such as BBC Morning Show and Alan Titchmarsh show with 40 million viewer and in Sweden she was guest staring on Allsång på Skansen, Så ska det låta, Sing-A-Long, sommarkrysset, gomorron sverige, TV4 morgon etc. And finally in 2009, she took on her next challenge, which was to perform at the “Melodifestifal” - the Swedish pre-selection for the Eurovision Songcontest. Nina’s song “TickTock” and her steaming show revealed all her passion, such as Rock, her amazing charms and loads of energy!

This summer Nina will collaborate with Glen Hughes, John Lord, Jacob Samuel, Stephen Bratt Hansen, Pablo Cepeda & LaGaylia in ”Raphsody in Rock”.

In November shes doing the tour "Campions of Rock" thats a tribute to Queen with Peter Johansson, Neil Murray, Phil Hilbourne etc.

In the end of 2009 you can se her in "Stjärnklart" with swedish stars such as Lena Ph, Nanne, Brolle and Alcazar. Nina Söderquist is HERE TO STAY!
