A LITTLE REVIEW ON MY PERFOMANCE

".So it was that I ended up at the performance of Nina Karle backed by PON Fire at the Village Blues Bar (once the Village Cafe). Karle’s performance varied. She is energetic and has a strong melodious voice, and when she selects her song well, such as the piece on which she ended ‘Face Myself’ she is worth a listen."

Karlene "Nina Karle" Levy is by no means a stranger to the music world. She has been singing since childhood but really discovered her unique style, performing with the all Japanese blues/rock band Blue Mountain while living in Tokyo. She comes across with a deep, seductive voice that captivates her audiences.

Wanting to accomplish more, she returned to Jamaica to concentrate on her music career. Her Singles, "Lonely" with the dancehall duo CP Inc and Byron Lees re-make of "From a Distance" is currently enjoying regular rotation on the radio. She is in the process of compiling her debut album working with various producers including Chris Meredith, Tristan Palmer and Paul Kastick

Nina is also a member of the reggae group LMJ, an all female harmony trio. The group burst on the scene in 1997 with the King Jammys remake of En Vogues Dont Let Go. The signature style of harmonies that hit the airwaves compelled their audiences to stand up and take notice. Its a sound that is unparalleled to this day. There debut album, INNA MI ROOTS, was released earlier this year.

An accomplished backing vocalist, Nina works with various artists in studio and on stage. She has been on tour with many reggae artists including I-Wayne, Richie Spice, Chuck Fender Sly & Robbie and Sinead OConnor.
