Nile Rodgers´ Workshop @ Montreux Jazz Festival, 11.07.2012

Great, fantastic, entertaining: Mr. Nile Rogers played his funky guitar and spoke about his influences, about Jazz, his evolution in writing and producing classics like Diana Ross´ UPSIDE DOWN, Chic´s EVERYBODY DANCE and last not least evaluating Bowies´ LETS DANCE into a smash-hit... among many others...

This Friday /July/13th he will perform a special event with CHIC, Johnny Marr(!), Felix Da Housecat and many others at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
Because of the collaboration with Smiths' composer/guitarist J. Marr, I asked him if he heard any SMITHS records during the 80´s, he told me: 'Not much, I´m doing it now.'
