Nikea Hooker is the youngest child of Minister Frank and Pam Hooker. She was born in Washington, D.C. In the hospital nursery where she was born, Nikea was labeled the praying baby. Everyone knew even then that the hand of God was on this special child. She has one Sister Nicole Brown and two brothers Sean and Frank, Jr.
Nikea is a SPIRIT-filled believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. She is a talented singer who has been singing for Jesus since she was two years young. She has a genuine love for Jesus that radiates throughout her very presence. Nikea is anointed by God with the ability to lead praise and worship songs and spirited enough to bring a crowd to its feet. She can also sing a song like "LORD, BRING THE DADDIES HOME," that can cause tears to well up in the eyes of those with the hardest of hearts and humble strong men to their knees.
Nikea is a new Contemporary recording artist who is known as a "singer who has the whole package." She is gifted with writing many of her own songs as well as coming up with creative background parts. Her CD is entitled "Come Out Of The Rain." Some of the songs that will be featured are: "Children Obey Your Parents" (Ephesians 6:1), "Peer Pressure" (Daniel 3:1-30), "Lord, Bring The Daddies Home" (Malachi 2:16, Amp), "Come Out Of The Rain", (Romans 3:16-19, Romans 8:1), "Holy For Him" (1Peter 15-16, 1Peter 2:9), "Watcha Gonna Do, With What God Gave You?" (1Corin. 6:19-20, Romans 12:1-2), "Abstinence" (1Corin 6:15-20, Ephesians 5:3), "Better Bounce" (Matthew 6:33), "Passion," "My Testimony," "What Do You Think About Jesus?" and "I Love You."
Although she is a singer for all generations, her desire is to see this young generation come to know that "God Is Real" and HE is looking for people who are willing to live a life of holiness and righteousness before HIM. There is a lost generation out in this world and they need to know that they have a Father that loves them. Even though they may be missing in the home, GOD loves them enough, to let them know that HE promised that HE would be a Father to the fatherless and a Mother to the motherless. All they would have to do is "Seek Ye First The Kingdom of GOD and His Righteousness And All These Things (whatever you need) Will Be Added Unto You." (Matthew 6:33). GOD has a purpose for everyone and everything that HE created. Therefore, it is very important that we seek His wisdom and guidance for our lives.
Nikea is a member of Hope Aglow Empowerment Center in Woodbridge, Virginia, under the leadership of Pastor Levonzia Stevens and his lovely, wife First Lady Saverna Stevens.
Nikea believes in giving her best to the LORD in all that she does. She was an honor student in school and graduated valedictorian of her class. She has shared the gift GOD has given her in the School System, (Public and Christian), Government offices, Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship (National and Local meetings), Prisons, Nursing Homes, Christian Concerts, Churches, U.S. Postal Service (Black History Program), The Defense Information Systems with Lieutenant General Alonzo E. Short and his staff, Foster kids in the District of Columbia, under the leadership of Dr. Walter E. Faunteroy, Senior Citizens Homes, Family Reunions, Promise Keepers (wake up call), Outreach Programs, ExxonMobile, for a Black History Program with guest speaker Tavis Smiley, The Washington International Horse Show (MCI Center). She has also ministered at Senator Floyd Flake's Church in New York at the request of Dr. Myles Munroe, Pastor and Founder of Bahamas Faith Ministries, International and known author. She has ministered in song as the opening psalmist on programs with Dr. Demond Wilson (formerly of Sanford and Son), Prophetess Connie Williams, Connie Williams Ministires and Dr.Brenda Kelly, Co-Pastor, Antioch Christian Center Church. Additionally, Nikea ministers with her family as they go forth and minister in the WORD OF GOD as well as in song.
