Nick has consolidated his many years in the classical music field with modern popular sound to develop his own unique style in production and engineering. The foundation stone for his transition into the electronic music scene was laid in 2002 where his first tech-house productions 'Deep In The Night' and 'Vivid' were performed at the Moz-Fest in Austria.



By 2006 Nick began working in Blackhorse Studios as a Producer and Artistic Director. A year later he records various tracks such as "Monkey" and "Live in the dark" with Iresa and Kate Richardson at Westminster Studios. Concomitant collaborations ensued Artists Sibelian, Don Pavlos, Marlene, M.C. Midnite, Alison C, Black Armchairs, The Prhyme Minister, Desros D'Angelo, M.C. West and the The Strings of London.



Other works include producing remixes for the UK label Blkhs Records, US label Fabric Records, The United States of Electronica and Eric Satie. In Westminster studios (2007-2008) he got the opportunity to work on the recordings by Sly & the Family Stone, Queen, Marvin Gaye and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. During this time he was affiliated with and mentored by international producers Alan Fisher (Bjork, LFO), Kevin Paul (Moby, Depeche Mode), Yoyo (Emma Bunton, The Honeyz), Scanner (Bryan Ferry, Laurie Anderson), Matthew Sansom (Rhodri Davies, Ross Lambert) and Stereo Mike.



Nick continues to engender his electronic dance music performances having played at the internationally established clubs such as Pacha, Eden, Fabric, Area, Rockhouse, Area51, Mojo, Battery, Artesial Well, Klub D, Viva, Kanya and the open-air festivals Biennale, Cosmofon and Bater. Since 2008 he performed at various events for 'London Underground Raves' promotions and he now gigs and tours Ibiza with "We Are London", "Dirty Dubbin", "Lush Funk ", "Republic Artists", and "Ibiza Gathering". Recently he teamed up with VJ and video editor 'And Chris' to create an audiovisual/multidimensional show for the live events.



His collaborative work with Marios Joannou Elia 'En Plo' was premiered at Akademie der Kuenste Berlin and was nominated for the Austrian Contribution to the 'World New Music Days' in Sweden 2009. "Ventoumnos" received the Luigi Russolo Prize for electroacoustic music, awarded from Studio Forum France, Luigi Rusolo-Pratella Foundation (Varèse), ElektraMusik (Strasbourg), Gràcia Territori Sonor (Barcelona), Experimental Studio Slovak Radio, Monochromevision Moscow. Moreover "Die Jagd" was co-produced by the Stuttgart State Opera with Rampe Theater in Stuttgart and was selected to be performed at Frühlin festival in Munich.



Furthermore Nick has been making music for fashion designer Ju Underwood, animator Joe Lea, animator/painter Charalambos Margartis, photographer Valentine Antoniou and 'Speak Up London Council' advertisements.



Nick Elia's musical odyssey began by serving for almost a decade with the National Orchestra of Cyprus as trumpet and violin player. Adjacent to this, he also developed an interest in sound production/engineering and subsequently worked for the local TV station 'Omega'. He has also been awarded Diplomas in Violin, Piano, Trumpet and Music Theory from the Associate Board of the Royal School of Music, London. He successfully completed a Bachelor of Music Degree in the University of Hull [Composition and Performance], a Masters Degree in the University of Westminster, London [Audio Production] and an Mphil Degree in the University of Surrey [Electronic Music].
