Niche Manrique & Guateque Band

Niche Manrique was born in Medellin Colombia on April 4t. Since his childhood, he shows interest in music, participating in amateur school activities. He studied writing entonation in the institute of Bellas Artes in his home city.
Influenced by the Puertorican Salsa and singers, he begins to work in 1991 with tropical bands of the city, performing genres as Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Porro, Son Cubano and Vallenato; His most representative work in Medellin was with La Tropical Band in wich he recorded their first single. He also worked with Edmundo Arias Orquestra and accompanied Fruko Y Sus Tesos.
In the year 2001, Niche Manrique Comes to the United States in Houston Tx and begins to work with many great salsa singers such as : Paquito Guzman, Tito Gomez, Maelo Ruiz, Eddie Santiago,Ismael Miranda and many more.
Four years later Borns Guateque Band as a proposal to latinos in USA, with a Great Variety of rithms in the tropical genre,GuatequeMeans ''Party'' in African language, with a wonderful acceptation, with professional musicians with more than 15 years of experience in the latino music market and ready to bring you an amazing experience in quality of entertainment. Nine years from now Guateque Band is one of the most representative latin music entertainers in Houston Tx, looking for new horizones and professional goals all across our country and the world.
