Dally Kimoko's professional career began in 1968 when he joined the group babies. From 1975 to 1977 Dally played in the orchestra with Ozana Jerry Nkoko .It will not be until ten years later that his career started growing. Dally indeed played in 1978 with the orchestra led by singer Kamale Nyboma .
A year later, he continued with the same artist in the African All Stars until 1982. This group was formed by Sam Mangwana, Lokassa Ya Mbongo , Ringo Moya and Dizzy Mandjeku . This adventure lasted for about three years. After a few collaborations with the Orchestra of sympatic Benin and Sery Simplice the Ivorian notably, his career took off again after he arrived in France.
In Paris , he worked with Syllart Productions and quickly become one of the most sought after popular guitarists of African music. Talk about the biggest names: Abeti Masikini (with whom he recorded three albums with the international gold record: "I am angry"), Shimita , Alhaji Toure , William Tota , M'Pongo Love and his former Gossip in The Nyboma Kamale Dynamics where some titles were "double-double" or "grandpa sodolo" for example ...
After Dally Kimoko then became a guitarist of great notoriety, Kanda Bongo Man , the pioneer of kwasa kwasa , recruited him into his group to replace Diblo Dibala .
The success of this collaboration went beyound suokous. An example would be to in the track "wallow" or "ceremony". Numerous international tours allowed Kanda Bongo Man and Dally Kimoko to rock the world of Afro rhythms,soukous and kwasa kwasa.
In the early 1990s , it was the turn of the new star in fashion Aurlus Mabele to recruit him for his group Loketo. This association lasted for only two years but was enough to re-mark the spirits with songs like "embargo" for example where the guitar is widely promoted.
At the same time, he became a founding member of the world famous Soukous Stars with Ballou Canta , Lokassa Ya Mbongo and Shimita. Soukous stars released several albums which remain as classics in the world of soukous. Many concerts took place worldwide not to forget that !
In one of their most popular tracks: Gozando, as one holds the attention, "Dally Swing" actually compiles the most beautiful guitar parts played by Dally over the years.
The late twentieth century became conducive to Dally in terms of collaborations with other artists. Among the best known, he collaborated with Papa Wemba , Koffi , Ryuichi Sakamoto , Oliver Ngoma, Gadji Celi , Yondo Sister , Tshala Muana , Madilu System , Pierrette Adams , Les Sans Papiers , Reddy Amisi , Theo Blaise Alain Kounkou , Awilo , Felix Wazekwa , Pepe Kalle , Julie Mabea , Defao , Guy Lobe , Prince Eyango , Guy Bilong , Oumou Sangare , etc..
In the early twenty-first century , he left the band Soukous Stars and continued wat he did better, which is multiple collaborations.
In 2002 he joined the French singer Leslie and Ivorian group Magic System and gave birth to a hit French song: "And I'm waiting." It also happened with them on stage at the Olympia .
In 2003, he was part of the album "Radio Bakongo", in collaboration with "El Rey" Paulo Salgado Batata in Colombia. Not to mention his participation in a series of concerts given in honor of the latter, who died in 2004 (the Paleo in 2004, partly available on You Tube).
In 2007, he contributed to the last record Madilu System (mood) came out just before his death.
During the summer of 2008 he finally released a new solo album entitled "Good luck".
