Hailing from the damned shores of Britannia, Funeral Throne has proven against all opposition to be one of the most vital Black Metal bands in the UK. Their debut album Nihil Sine Diabolvs (released through Satanas Rex/Cold Spring) received world-wide acclaim on its release in 2008. The members have confirmed themselves as a formidable live outfit too, with their driving bass lines, whirlwind drumming and serrated guitars winning praise from every crowd.
Funeral Throne has seperated itself from the rest of the UK scene in that it plays Black Metal in its real form. There is no flowery paganism. There is no progressive bent. There is only destruction, re-creation and the Devil.
Funeral Throne is the thrice-headed Beast of SataN and stands for the elect who still hear the voice in the Silence, even amid the cacophonous masses who want nothing more than to choke down their plastic, so-called ‘Metal’.
