Superstar mezzo-soprano and self-proclaimed "Yankee Diva" Joyce DiDonato will be singing at Carnegie Hall on Tuesday, Nov. 2 — for a global audience of people staring at their computer screens.
If you're interested in hearing DiDonato's inevitably virtuosic renditions of repertoire by Vivaldi, Fauré, Rossini, and Michael Head, tune in to the livestream here at 8:00 PM EST on Tuesday Nov. 2. This will be the first-ever livestream from Carnegie Hall, but the coming weeks will see three more shows from the prestigious venue beamed across the internet.
The video of DiDonato's recital will be available on demand at Medici.tv for 90 days following the broadcast.
And, if you can't wait until Tuesday, check out this video of DiDonato singing the American national anthem at the World Series, this past week. Fun fact: moments after nailing the high stuff at the end, DiDonato tripped and fell flat in the dirt. But, she got right back up and laughed at her gaffe, to a chorus of cheers from the crowd. Now that's poise.
