'I’m St. Vincent and I’ll be your waitress today'

Known for her musical prowess in shredding guitar, among many other things, musician St. Vincent was more likely to have been shredding lettuce this past weekend when she worked a shift at a Dallas restaurant.

The acclaimed multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter, who won the best alternative music Grammy ahead of Arcade Fire and Jack White earlier this year for her self-titled fourth album, pulled on an apron to help out at taco restaurant Resident Taqueira. The restaurant, owned by St. Vincent's sister Amy Clark Savoie and her brother-in-law, chef Andrew Savoie, was in the midst of its opening weekend.

Her appearance at the restaurant caused a stir among the patrons who recognized the musician and some took to social media excitedly, posting blow-by-blow details of their personal encounters with St. Vincent, born Annie Clark.

Tom Steele, a reporter with the Dallas Morning News who visited the restaurant for a meal not only verified Clark's appearance but also that she put in a proper shift.

According to E! News, St. Vincent worked Thursday through Saturday at the resataurant.

"It was our opening weekend and she just came into town and offered to help," said a manager. "She was our bartender and our server all weekend."

While there is no word on whether she'll make it a regular gig, St. Vincent apparently enjoyed her experience working at the restaurant enough to send this tweet.
