I’ll be honest, I haven’t really felt compelled to give Google Glass a go (I’m fine just staring down at my iPhone and avoiding awkward, inadvertent eye contact, thanks), but if there is one person who could sway my decision, it’s probably FKA twigs. The British songstress puts Google’s optical technology to bizarre use in this self-directed concept video titled “#throughglass.”
The two-minute clip sees twigs showing off some serious dance moves (she was a backup dancer before breaking out as a solo artist) in front of a set of full-length mirrors, while she watches her favorite dance videos straight off YouTube in the corner of her eye. Things get even weirder when a group of FKA twigs look-a-likes invade her private dance session. Who knows what it all means exactly, but it sure as hell looks good.
