John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are soon-to-be parents. The couple announced on Monday evening that they’re expecting a baby. The Grammy Award-winning singer and supermodel both took to Instagram, revealing the great news. While John simply posted “We’re pregnant!,” Teigen chose to open up a little more on their new blessing.

“John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant 
As many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now,” said Chrissy to her 3.4 million followers. “It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family. We’re so excited that it’s finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching! Xx.”
Back in September, an emotional Teigen spoke on her talk show FABLife about her long struggle with fertility. “John and I were having trouble,” she said to co-host Tyra Banks. “We would have had kids five, six years ago if it happened. But my gosh, it’s been a process. We’ve seen fertility doctors.”
Married back in 2013, this will be the couple’s first child. Congrats to John and Chrissy!
