The 2015 Stellar Awards, honoring Gospel Music artists, took place Saturday night (Mar. 28) at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the show opened with a bang, as Destiny’s Child reunited on stage.
Nominated for four awards including “Song of the Year,” Michelle Williams called on her groupmates Beyoncé Knowles and Kelly Rowland to perform “Say Yes” off Michelle’s Journey To Freedom LP. “I thank all of you guys who voted! Man this is incredible!!!! “#StellarAwards30 #VideoOfTheYear #SayYes #Beyonce #KellyRowland,” said Williams in a tweet on Friday evening, teasing to the rumored reunion. It marked the first time Destiny’s Child performed together since Super Bowl XLVII’s halftime show in 2013.
Taped on Saturday night, you can catch the reunion performance when the Stellar Gospel Music Awards airs April 5 (Easter Sunday) on TV One.
