Manchester Bombing: Ariana Grande To Return To Manchester For Benefit Concert

Published: May 26, 2017

Ariana Grande might have put her Dangerous Woman tour on hold in the wake of the Manchester bombing, but she will be returning to the city of Manchester sooner than later for a special benefit concert.

In a letter posted on social media on Friday morning, Grande explained, “My heart, prayers and deepest condolences are with the victims of the Manchester Attack and their loved ones. There is nothing I or anyone can do to take away the pain you are feeling or to make this better.”

She wrote, “However, I extend my hand and heart and everything I possibly can give to you and yours, should you want or need my help in any way. The only thing we can do now is choose how we let this affect us and how we live our lives from here on out.”

“The compassion, kindness, love, strength and oneness that you’ve shown one another this past week is the exact opposite of the heinous intentions it must take to pull off something as evil as what happened Monday,” the singer shared.

The 23-year-old then revealed she will be “returning to the incredibly brave city of Manchester to spend time with my fans and to have a benefit concert in honor or the victims and their families.”

Mac Miller’s girlfriend added, “I want to thank my fellow musicians and friends for reaching out to be part of our expression of love for Manchester. I will have details to share with you as soon as everything is confirmed.”

Ariana’s announcement comes on the heels of getting backlash from fans who criticized the singer for flying back to the Unites States following the tragic occurrence. Some fans argued the pop star should have stayed in England to grieve with victims and their families.

Grande had just wrapped her show at the Manchester Arena on Monday when a bomb went off in the foyer of the venue. The terror attack killed 22 and wounded 59 others.
