Sky Ferreira Closes Out The ‘Night Time, My Time’ Era, Debuts New Song “Guardian” And Plans Ahead For 2015

Published: November 26, 2014

Well, it’s the end of an era: Sky Ferreira is officially putting her critically acclaimed debut album, Night Time, My Time (our Best Album of ’13!), to bed.

The “Everything Is Embarrassing” singer-songwriter tied together the remaining strings of her campaign, which gave us everything from “You’re Not The One” to an opening set on Miley‘s Bangerz Tour to “I Blame Myself”, with a handful of live shows on the West Coast over the past few days. In a post on Instagram yesterday, Sky reflected on her 2 year stretch of touring and provided some insight into what’s coming next.

Find out what she had to say after the jump.

“Tonight is my 3rd night playing in SF & my last show for Night Time,My Time. We’ve been touring for over 2 years & we JUST got the hang of it. Taking a much needed month off & then recording the next album. By the next time I tour cops will be wearing cameras & my hair will be long & so white it will be see through (but some special projects in between). Thank you guys!”

We won’t have to wait too long to hear what’s coming next, however: The songstress debuted a promising new song called “Guardian” live during her West Coast set, which you can hear below. Here’s hoping the wait for Album 2 isn’t nearly as long as her debut — and that those “special projects” come sooner rather than later, too.

Enjoy the time off, Sky!
