Must Hear: Made In Heights New Single Ghosts Is Synth-Pop Perfection

Published: September 16, 2014

If you missed Made In Heights the first time around (they released an album in 2012), there’s still time to get on boardbefore they explode with their sophomore set. And the LA-based duo will do just that if gorgeous new single “Ghosts” is any indication of what they have up their collective sleeve. Make no mistake. This is one of the prettiest pieces of electronica tosurface thus far in 2014.

“When all the ghosts are singing, taking my tears and filling their cups up,” sing-whispers vocalist Kelsey Bulkin overSabzi‘s cascading synths in the song’s ever-so-subtle chorus. That gives you some idea of the song’s quirkylyrical content but probably doesn’t do justice to the whimsical production. Think of this as the complicated, stoner cousin ofClean Bandit‘s “Rather Be”. Listen after the jump.
