A few weeks ago, when Piece By Piece songstress Kelly Clarkson was performing on The Graham Norton Show, notoriously harsh British personality Katie Hopkins tweeted a series of rude tweets about the “Heartbeat Song” singer’s weight.

“Jesus, what happened to Kelly Clarkson? Did she eat all of her backing singers? Happily I have wide-screen. Darling, if you had a baby a year ago, that is not baby weight. It is fat. Quit calling it cute names to make yourself feel better. Baby weight, puppy fat, muffin top. We’re so weakwilled we have to make up cute names for fat. Babies, puppies, muffins. Nope. Just fat love,” she wrote.

The controversial tweets obviously made some waves, so UK celeb mag Heat decided to see how the American Idol alum felt about Hopkins’ tough words. And as it turns out, she doesn’t think very much of them at all…because she never even read ‘em, nor does she know who Hopkins even is. (The ultimate shade!)

“I don’t have a clue what you’re talking about,” she reportedly said, leaving the editors to have to explain who Katie Hopkins is to her. “Oh, and she’s tweeted something nasty about me? That’s because she doesn’t know me. I’m awesome! It doesn’t bother me. It’s a free world. Say what you will.”

Boom. And she continued further: “I’ve just never cared what people think. It’s more if I’m happy and I’m confident and feeling good, that’s always been my thing. And more so now, since having a family – I don’t seek out any other acceptance.”

And there you have it: Kelly Clarkson, our Eternally Unbothered Idol. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, indeed.
