Three Songs You MUST Check Out On Dillon Francis New Album

Published: October 21, 2014

Producer-DJ extraordinaire Dillon Francis will be releasing his highly-anticipated album Money Sucks, Friends Rule on October 27, but if you simply can’t wait, you can stream the album a week in advance on Much now!

We’ve been spinning this album on repeat all day and whether you’re a Francis superfan or a electro-dance novice, we’ve highlighted the three songs you must check out on his new album. So if for some reason you don’t have time to dive into the whole thing right now, make sure you press play on these A+ tracks.

Love in the Middle of a Firefight
Panic At The Disco’s Brendon Urie makes the jump from pop-rock anthems to bombastic dance numbers on this perfect meeting of the minds. One of the album’s more straightforward pop melodies, there’s something so delightfully sweet about Love in the Middle of a Firefight from the chorus’ na na na hook to Urie’s earnest approach to a more electronic track. The results are just as catchy as anything Calvin Harris or Avicii have put out in recent years.

We Are Impossible
Australian duo The Presets are featured on this rumbling number. Its deep vocals are irresistibly charming and the track plays like a warped up Chromeo song. Yes, that is a total compliment.

Hurricane
Money Sucks, Friends Rule appears to be pretty heavy on the male collaborators so it’s refreshing to hear singer Lily Elise showcased on the album’s final track, Hurricane. Elise’s honeyed voice turns the song into this year’s version of Clarity and it’s just equally as infectious.
