Taylor, Sam, Niall And More New Albums Still To Come In 2017

Published: October 17, 2017

We have less than three months left in 2017, but even with the countdown clock running there are still huge albums yet to be released. From former boy band members to the Queen of country pop music, here are 11 albums to (still) look forward to in 2017.

NIALL HORAN
Flicker
October 20

It’s been a long time coming, but One Direction member Niall Horan is finally ready to release his debut solo album. Considering the huge success of his former bandmates Harry Styles and Zayn Malik, along with the boy band-sized reception of his first three singles, we have a feeling that Flicker is going to easily be one of the biggest pop albums of the year.

JESSIE WARE
Glasshouse
October 20

British singer Jesse Ware has already debuted three songs from her upcoming third album Glasshouse, each proving the gifted songwriter hasn’t missed a step.

KELLY CLARKSON
The Meaning of Life
October 27

American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson has finally finished the RCA Recording Contract she signed after winning the famous reality show and is finally set to release her first album under Atlantic. The move could signal a new sound from Clarkson, but judging by the two lead singles “Move You” and the pop hit “Love So Soft,” the superstar’s eighth album will be as chock full of huge tracks as its predecessors.

TY DOLLA $IGN
Beach House 3
October 27

Ty Dolla $ign has already released Beach House 1 and 2 as mix tapes, but for his third installment, the rapper is making things official with a full-length album. Expect to see featured appearances from Lil Wayne, The Dream and more.

TOVE LO
Blue Lips
November

Pop singer Tove Lo is on a roll and that’s just how we like her. After releasing her concept album Lady Wood in 2016, Lo is already back with the new album Blue Lips, which is set to be released sometime in November and acts as the second chapter in the saga.

MAROON 5
Red Pill Blues
November 3

It’s been over a year since Maroon 5 released their first single “Don’t Wanna Know” with Kendrick Lamar for their upcoming sixth studio album Red Pill Blues. Two more singles, including collaborations with Future and SZA, and the band is finally ready to drop their first record since 2014’s V.

SAM SMITH
The Thrill of It All
November 3

Being catapulted from an unknown to one of the biggest singers in the world with his debut In The Lonely Hour is a lot for anyone to deal with, and resulted in English singer Sam Smith stepping away from the spotlight in 2015. Post Grammy, post Oscar and post Brit Awards, Smith is back and feeling more introspective than ever with his lead single “Pray.” Smith reunited with his songwriting partner Jimmy Napes and also added a few new faces, including hitmaker Timbaland.

TAYLOR SWIFT
Reputation
November 10

Ain’t no album promo like a Taylor Swift album promo, because a Taylor Swift album promo don’t stop. We’ve only heard two singles from Swift’s upcoming fifth album, but already she’s won a round in the celebrity feud match, taking down her ex-boyfriends and essentially declaring her love for new partner Joe Alwyn. Oh, and she’s more pop than ever. Prepare for a New Swift Order starting November 10.

WALK THE MOON
What If Nothing
November 10

Prepare for an onslaught of super catchy new singles from pop band Walk the Moon. Following the huge success of their 2014 album and its lead single “Shut Up And Dance,” we’re expecting some impressive ear worms from the four piece group.

SIA
Everyday Is Christmas
November 17

How freaking good is a Christmas album by Sia going to be?! The singer/songwriter has been behind some of the biggest pop hits of the past five years and for her first ever Christmas album, she’s teaming up with producer Greg Kurstin to release both original and cover songs. For once, we’re actually excited about the weather getting colder.

NOEL GALLAGHER’S HIGH FLYING BIRDS
Who Built The Moon?
November 24

It wouldn’t be the Gallagher brothers if they weren’t competing with one another—even on the charts. After Liam dropped his first solo album this year, brother Noel is now releasing his third album with his band. The only good thing about Oasis breaking up is that we’re actually getting more music from the Gallaghers now.
