Listen To The Best New Holidays Songs Released In 2017

Published: December 08, 2017

If you need a little help getting into the holiday spirit this year, we have the playlist for you.

A new holiday season means new holiday songs and this year we hit the jackpot. In 2017, we saw the return of past Christmas lovers as well as some first-time holiday singers. Plus, three letters: D M X. Ho ho ho, y’all!

“The Star” — Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas” is still one of the biggest holiday songs of all time, so it makes sense that the pop diva was asked to contribute to the new animated film The Star about the first Christmas.

“Deck The Halls” — Pentatonix

A lot of people love Christmas, but Pentatonix are putting their tree up in October. The singing group have released two Christmas albums and shot their second Christmas special this year. Take that, Hallmark channel.

“Christmas C’Mon” — Lindsey Stirling feat. Becky G

Lindsey Stirling didn’t let a little thing like making it the finals of Dancing With The Stars get in the way of her holiday album. The violinist released her Christmas album Warmer In The Winter this year and dropped a number of festive videos.

“Santa’s Coming For Us” — Sia

Sia is known for writing hits for other artists, but the pop singer must love the holidays since she kept her Christmas tracks to herself. Sia snagged Kristen Bell, Dax Shephard, J.B. Smoove, Henry Winkler, Susan Lucci, Sophia Lillis, Wyatt Oleff and Caleb McLaughlin for the star-studded debut video for “Santa’s Coming For Us” off Everyday Is Christmas.

“You Make It Feel Like Christmas” — Gwen Stefani feat. Blake Shelton

Gwen Stefani’s tradmark red lipstick took a festive turn this year when the singer dropped her first holiday album, the super catchy You Make It Feel Like Christmas, with her boo Blake Shelton.

“Finally It’s Christmas” — Hanson

The Hanson brothers have about 32 kids between them (approximately), so it made sense to release a follow up to their 1997 Christmas album Snowed In this year with Finally It’s Christmas. Those presents don’t pay for themselves!

“Say All You Want For Christmas” — Nick Jonas feat. Shania Twain

Nick Jonas has yet to drop a music video for his holiday collaboration with Shania Twain, but hopefully he does. That’s gonna be a good looking video.

“Christmas Medley” — Dinah Jane and Leona Lewis

Prepare to shed a few tears over this beautifully stunning Christmas medley care of Fifth Harmony’s Dinah Jane and British singer Leona Lewis.

“I’ll Be Home for Christmas” — Demi Lovato

This isn’t the first time Demi Lovato has been inspired by the holidays to record a classic Christmas track and we’re hoping it’s not the last. It’s. Just. So. Pretty.

“Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer” — DMX

Now for something we never thought we’d hear…

“Last Christmas” — Good Charlotte

It seems like everyone has covered Wham!’s iconic “Last Christmas” and we’re not mad about it. Decades later and the song is still a jam. Pop punk rockers Good Charlotte have put their own spin on it and kept the 1980’s nostalgia alive with their cover.

“Another Log On The Fire” — The Darcys

There aren’t a lot of sexy Christmas songs, but thankfully, Canadian rockers The Darcys have remedied that. Take off those Long Johns, it’s time to cuddle in front of the fire.
