Lady Gaga gets jazzy on it.
When I first heard about Lady Gaga’s and Tony Bennett’s collaborative album I was less than excited. I like my Gaga like I like my corn: popped. Jazz music isn’t really my thing. I like a nice beat and catchy lyrics that you can dance to. But after hearing Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett’s new release I must say I am impressed.
The song Nature Boy was originally recorded by Nat King Cole in 1947 but now got an updated makeover. I’m not a huge jazz fan but after listening to the song I was wonderfully surprised. It’s nice to listen to Gaga’s voice minus all the dancey beats. She really has a wonderful voice. Now I love pop queen Gaga, but jazz Gaga isn’t so bad either. The duo’s new album Cheek To Cheek seems like it will make great study music for those impending midterms and finals coming up.
