Published: August 16, 2017

Kesha made her official comeback on July 6 with the soaring and triumphant “Praying,” dropping a music video for the track on the same day. Kesha followed up “Praying” with two more singles, including “Woman” featuring the The Dap-Kings Horns, and “Learn To Let Go,” which she released on July 27.

to celebrate the release of her new album Rainbow on August 11, Kesha dropped the video for the title track.

Now Kesha is once again revisiting her past for inspiration in her ongoing fight to move forward with her life. On the Japanese addition of Kesha’s new album Rainbow, “Emotional” can be found as a bonus track. Fans have now made the song available online, with Kesha’s autobiographical lyrics some of her most honest and raw yet.

On “Emotional,” Kesha sings, “It started in November, I started losing my mind/ I ended up in rehab, I don’t wanna cry/ But people can be so mean, and I don’t understand why/ Like when they say I can’t sing, I just want to die.”

Kesha’s battle with every day demons and those brought on by being in the limelight are examined in the new track, including dealing with a broken heart and trying to find her place in the music industry.

With Rainbow, Kesha has released an album that represents her most authentic self both as an artist and a person. In a new video posted on her Instagram page, Kesha reveals that Rainbow marks the first time she’s had the courage to create music inspired by the albums she loves, including artists like Johnny Cash, David Bowie, and Dolly Parton (who performs a duet with Kesha on the new album).
