Listen To Alvvays’ New Indie Pop Lullaby ‘Dream Tonite’

Published: July 25, 2017

Two weeks ago, we received the first taste of Toronto indie-rock outfit Alvvays’ highly-anticipated second album when they returned with the new single “In Undertow.”

Today, the band have followed up with “Dream Tonite,” a song that charmingly strays from the reverb-laced pop-rock which shot them to the forefront of Canadian music in 2014. “Dream Tonite” maintains what they do best, though—namely, delivering nostalgic pangs of a simpler time via Molly Rankin’s carefree coo.

Featuring tender lyrics fit for a 50s prom, “Dream Tonite” ditches guitar lines for synth, making it one of their dreamiest ballads to date.

Alvvays will kick off their fall tour next month in Europe, before the release of their Antisocialites LP on September 8.
