Fans around the world are still reeling from yesterday’s news that Linkin Park leader singer Chester Bennington had passed away. The singer was only 41-years-old.
Bennington leaves behind an incredible musical legacy that extends beyond record sales and awards, with the true success of his work measured in the millions of fans whose lives were made to feel less lonely thanks to his emotional and raw lyrics.
Linkin Park are currently in the middle of their latest tour, having released their seventh album One More Light on May 19. Just yesterday, the group released their video for “Talking To Myself,” which is comprised of tour footage from the past year.
In the joyful video, Bennington can be seen interacting with fans and performing on stage with his bandmates. Linkin Park’s impact on music is evident throughout the video, with shots of stadiums filled night after night with fans who have been devoted to the band over their 17-year career.

Following yesterday’s heartbreaking, former Much VJ George Stroumboulopoulos recorded a live Facebook video chronicling an interview he did at Much with Linkin Park in November 2000. In the video, George focuses not just on the incredible discography Bennington leaves behind with Linkin Park, but more importantly, Bennington and the band’s reputation for how well they treated their fans.
The live Much event was a carefully timed special that required a number of bands performing at the Summer Sanitarium show down the street at the Rogers Centre to immediately make their way to the Much studios for their interview with George. When one band refused to come on stage for their segment of the live show, Linkin Park saved the day.
