Kaytranada fans woke up extra glowed up this morning. Fresh off his Polaris Prize win, the Montreal producer silently dropped a 90-minute mixtape titled “0.01%” to his SoundCloud page.  The mixtape is the sequel to his first full-length, award-winning album “99.9%.”

Being the genre-blending genius that he is, his new music samples hip-hop, funk, soul, house, R&B and even divulges deep into some Bollywood beats. The kaleidoscopic mixtape is one long track, lacking breaks or song titles and is accompanied by the description “?????????” The only thing we’re wondering is how Kaytranada was able to make such a fire mixtape since only announcing he was working on it four months ago, during a Beats 1 interview with Zane Lowe. Not to mention he’s been on tour and producing content for the likes of Chance The Rapper and Pusha T.

Known for his dance remix of Rihanna’s “Kiss It Better,” Kay delivers yet again, this time featuring a funky, mellowed out remix of Usher’s “U Don’t Have To Call” and a faster tempo, disco-inspired version of Chance The Rapper’s “All Night.” Anderson .Paak’s soulful vocals also grace our eardrums over a trippy house beat towards the end of the tape.

Kaytranada is currently finishing up the North American leg of his world tour, before heading overseas to perform in Australia.

The 24-year-old is on his way to making himself a household name, and we 100.01% support it.
