Haim Rule The Streets Of LA In ‘Want You Back’ Video

Published: June 22, 2017

It’s been four years since the Haim sisters burst onto the music scene with their debut album Days Are Gone and became one of the most exciting bands in years. Now the family group is back with a new album announcement and their first official video for their lead single “Want You Back.”

The video opens with lead vocalist Danielle Haim leaning against a sign post before the music starts, cuing the singer to start walking. Making her way down the middle of an LA street, Danielle is soon joined by sisters Este and Alana, seemingly the only three people in the city.

The sisters perform a few choreographed moves, breaking off to have their own solo moments with the camera before rejoining the trio. Shot in one take, the video ends with the women reaching an intersection as the camera pans out to show the deserted street, an impressive feat for the busy city that raised the local trio.

The Haim sisters shared a pic from the video shoot earlier this month, with “Want You Back” as the official lead single from their highly anticipated sophomore album.

Following the album news, Haim also released the song “Right Now,” which features a music video shot by famed director Paul Thomas Anderson.

The Magnolia director lists the Haim sister’s mom Donna as one of his art teachers, with the group connecting with Anderson in 2015. In the video for the stunning track “Right Now,” the viewer gets a fly on the wall look at the record of song, with the sisters letting cameras into the Valentine Recording Studios.

Haim’s Something To Tell You will be released on July 7.
