If you were like us, you were watching the Jurassic World website countdown clock waiting for the release of the first trailer from the upcoming movie. Sure a couple of teasers came out yesterday but we wanted the real goods. Then today, out of the blue, the trailer hit the web. We are so lucky. [What is the clock counting down to now?]
The shot of the incubated eggs. The mosquito in the sap. The animal getting eaten by a ferocious dinosaur. The unforgettable front gate. The young boy hiding from the heavy breathing dinosaur. There is so much nostalgia crammed in this one trailer.
You may not think you are excited for this movie, but trust us. When you watch this you will surprise yourself. If Jurassic Park was at all involved in your childhood, let along being completely formative like it was for us, you will get chills from the beautiful and eerie take on the classic theme.
Plus, if we are to trust director Colin Trevorrow and a picture of a robotic velociraptor from the set, the film will include a combination of CGI and animatronics. If you are a weirdo nerd like we are, you know that is actually what made the first film so good. It wasn’t completely CGI (mind you it came out in 1993).
