Ed Sheeran Covers Little Mix’s ‘Touch’ And Reveals He’s A Fangirl

Published: February 21, 2017

Ed Sheeran stopped by the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge this week and in addition to performing his latest two singles and two of his biggest hits from Multiply, he also revealed which pop girls he stans for thanks to an upbeat cover.

Sheeran opened his appearance with a performance of “Castle on the Hill” and “Shape of You,” which Ed performed during last week’s Grammy Awards.

Getting ready for his upcoming European tour, Sheeran also performed “Bloodstream” and “Thinking Out Loud” from 2014’s Multiply.

In addition to his own tracks, Ed performed a surprising cover of Little Mix’s “Touch,” with the British girl group tweeting that they were excitedly listening live to the BBC. Ed revealed that during his sabbatical from music in 2016, the only time he returned to a concert hall was to see Little Mix. “That was the one concert I went to last year,” said Sheeran. “I didn’t really go to any gigs, but I was in Milan and I’m a Little Mix fangirl.”

Sheeran is only a few weeks away from releasing his third studio album Divide on March 3, but gave fans another new song from the album on Friday. Celebrating his 26th birthday, Sheeran released the love ballad “How Would You Feel (Paean)” on February 17.
