Blink-182 Bring The Feels With ‘Home Is Such A Lonely Place’ Video

Published: June 08, 2017

Following the huge success of their 2016 album California, Blink-182 released a deluxe version of the album in May, which included the track “Home Is Such A Lonely Place.” Now the band has released a music video for the track and it’s making us a bit emotional.

The video is a look into the private lives of the three band members, including Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker and Matt Skiba. The three men hang out in their beautiful homes with their respective families, enjoying FaceTiming with relatives and letting their kids play with rub on tattoos. Shot partially by the band members and by an external crew, the video is a reminder that pop punk pays, with the impressive houses also include driveways with fancy cars, including a Tesla or two.

The men’s partners and children are featured in the video, with intimate family moments providing a glimpse into the band’s personal lives that fans don’t often see. Thanks to the inclusion Hoppus’ teenage son, who is now not much younger than his father was when starting the band, we feel both a sense of happiness for Hoppus and co and the realization that at some point we got old.

While the title suggests a somber song, the full line, is ‘Home is such a lonely place without you.’ We see what they did there. The video eventually finds the trio out on tour and hitting the stage to perform at their ‘second’ home, playing for a crowd of fans who have been with the band for decades.

Check out Blink-182’s new video for “Home Is Such A Lonely Place” and prepare to feel all the feels (including the feeling of being old).
