Your Guide to CMW: Day 3

CMW is going strong in Toronto and today there are a bunch of acts worth checking out.

• Husband-and-wife folk duo Whitehorse and throat singer Tanya Tagaq are headlining a concert series show at the Phoenix Concert Theatre at 8:00 p.m.

• At the same time the Monarch Tavern is hosting a “focus on Italy” showcase, featuring more than half a dozen Italian artists including Dizzyride and Bruno Belissimo.

• Indie singer-songwriter Matt Mays will take the stage at 11:00 p.m. at Lee’s Palace. The show starts at 9:00 p.m.

• The new indie folk singer Cat Clyde will go on at 9:00 p.m. at the Dakota Tavern before others such as Old Man Grant and Murder Murder.

• The experimental trio Chaz Bundick Meets The Mattson 2 is headlining an 8:00 p.m. show at the Great Hall.

• Toronto post-punk quartet Frigs are performing a set at the Costume House at around midnight.

• Indie rocker Tim Darcy has top billing at a 9:00 p.m. show at Baby G.

• Midday Swim will go on at a CMW showcase at the Nightowl at 11:00 p.m.
