Written and directed by Cory Bowles (Trailer Park Boys) Black Cop takes an artistic look at the growing racial tension between cops and the communities they serve.

Ronnie Rowe Jr. stars in the film as the title “black cop”. Caught between two worlds, identities and agendas he has to reconcile his role in the community at large.

A poignant film with an incredible soundtrack to boot. andPOP’s Scott Willat’s caught up with Cory and Ronnie to learn more about the film.

Black Cop opens in select Canadian cities (Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, and Halifax) on June 1st. The film will then be available on iTunes as of June 5th and expand to more VOD platforms on June 19th.
