PREMIERE: Sunshine and the Blue Moon’s “Lucy” will make you miss the winter

Published: July 29, 2015

How much would you give for a snowball fight right now? Toronto's Sunshine and the Blue Moon drop off a bluesy garage ballad entitled "Lucy" attached to a clip by director Laura-Lynn Petrick that, in the middle of this heatwave, might make you think fondly of Canadian winters. Look at those five pals frolicing around the snowy peaks. Bundled up, sure, but happy. It carries a feel-good vibe, much like the song.

Petrick told us a little more about the shoot:

The idea came together very naturally. I brought my Super 8 camera out on a cold and windy winter's day. We went down to the shore of Lake Ontario, by the end of the streetcar line, to explore the glaciers and take some photos. We ran around and explored Toronto's East Beaches. We drank hot whiskey, with tea and goofed around on the icy shore. The whiskey went quick. We stayed warm.
