Have you ever looked to the stars and wondered “what else could be out there?” well Akash Sherman did. The young writer/director ditched class at Ryerson University to put his imagination to paper, and wrote the first draft of Clara. Now, his feature film debut is set to hit the big screen.
The riveting story of love, science, and space exploration stars Patrick J. Adams (Suits, Room for Rent) alongside his real life wife Troian Bellisario (Pretty Little Liars) as an astronomer and artist respectively, who bring their obsessions with the cosmos together to search for life beyond Earth.
@ScottyWillats spoke to Akash and Patrick when the film premiered at TIFF in September. The trio discussed astronomy, the four legged co-star that stole the show and delving into the scientific side of science fiction.
Clara is now out in Canadian theatres, it is rated PG.
