Google Glass has a reputation for beingthe smuggestdirect portal to the United States government you can wear on your face. So the company has draftedFKA twigs to create ashort film,andhelp retool its image from a harbinger of worse times to a productfor the Apple generation.
That mission is made plausible by the weight of twigs's many talents on display here: the music is brilliant (remixes of her LP1album's "Video Girl" and the unreleased "Glass & Patron") andher team of dancers pull off stunning choreographyunder twigs's clean and energetic direction.
But there's a difference between the Glass appearing in an isolated, creativespace and in public. Would the clip be as effective if she were dancingon the street, never more than steps away from her hometown of London's CCTV apparatus?Probably not.Watch below, share it on Google+, etc etc.
