Indie rock songstress Kandle is making her mark with deep, soulful vocals paired with alt-rock instrumentals. Her eerie sound is transfixing and its found a new dimension since joining Sleepless Records.
In addition to her own stuff, she’s made a splash with collaborations like Apache’s “F*ck Boy” as well as her single, “When My Body Breaks” which features another Sleepless Records artist, July Talk’s Peter Dreimanis.
Hailing from Victoria, BC Kandle was born into a musically inclined family; her father is Neil Osborne the lead singer of 54-40. She grew up on tour buses and green rooms. This summer it all comes full circle as she hits the road with 54-40. You can still check out the familial double bill at the Hayloft Dancehall in Prince Edward, Ontario on August 2nd and at Muskoka’s Kee to Bala on August 11th.
@ScottyWillats and @KandleOsborne spoke about how she fell into music, her elaborate videos and most importantly how President Trump embodies a F*ck Boy. Kandle’s LP Damned If I Do is currently available on streaming services while her album Holy Smoke debuts on September 28th.
