Lust For Youth's movement from grimy industrial to overcast synth tuneson this year'sInternational was both inspired and wholly convincing (due in part to songs like "Illume," one of my favourite pop songs of the year so far.) That album's title track gets a remix from Dirty Beaches and Shub Roy, the full-time guitarist in Alex Zhang Hungtai's experimental sound cinema group. It's droney and weathered, like an old book filled with drones.
