Five years later, Lil B says Kevin Durant is still cursed

Alert the bookmakers: OKC will lose in seven. The BasedGod has spoken.

On Thursday, Lil B's Golden State Warriors defeated Kevin Durant's Oklahoma City Thunder 120-111 and pushed the series to 2-3. Five years ago, to the day, the Berkeley rapper and internet soothsayer issued his notorious curse: Durant would never win the title because he called Lil B "wack."

He took to Twitter at the beginning of the series to remind everyone that the curse is still on.

When conference favourites the Warriors dropped three of four games early, Noisey picked up the phone and called Lil B to check in on the status of his divining. "It’s great to see Kevin Durant fighting the curse with Lil B," he says. "It’s extremely beautiful to see, and I’m very proud of it. Westbrook’s playing great." More than winning games and pushing towards the championship, B says, what we're watching is a direct result of Durant fighting the curse. He wants to beat it.

"Now the thing is, if he wins this championship, he could make history. He could rewrite history. This curse is serious." Durant is good, sure, but good enough to flip universal forces? The BasedGod says no. Golden State in seven.
