Elliot the Littlest Reindeer explores themes of friendship, hard work and achieving your dreams. The animated feature follows a miniature horse who wants to fly with the big guys – Santa’s Reindeer. When there’s an opening on Santa’s sleigh team Elliot has the chance to make his dreams a reality – the only problem is – the position is only open to reindeer. Elliot has to challenge the system in addition to acing the tryouts. If this were a dramatic film, Elliot’s plight might seem too daunting, luckily it’s an animated comedy that keeps the lesson light and the laughs coming.
The animated adventure comes from Toronto based animation studio, Awesometown. We got some insight into the world of computer animation from Awesomtown’s CG Supervisor Sumira Dhawan who worked on Elliot the Littlest Reindeer. Like, what is a CG Supervisor and what do they do!?
