On Monday, September 22, one Canadian music actwill walk away with a $30 000 novelty cheque and an updated Wikipedia page that reads "winner of the 2014 Polaris Music Prize." But before that all happens, we'll be sitting at the edge of our seats with a grilled cheese in hand as we watchthe shortlist nominees perform at the Polaris Gala at The Carlu in Toronto.
For those of you who want a piece of the action, boy, do we have a contest for you! The Polaris Music Prize and Indoor Recesshave put together the Polaris Prize 7" Series. These split 7" singles featurethe shortlist nominees on colourful vinyl. They've put two nominees on each vinyl, which will either make for an awkward first date or a match made in musical heaven.
